Grange Kennels & Cattery

Watergate Rd, Newport PO30 1YP, UK – 01983 533000

Amazing kennels with wonderful staff. My two dogs were in for 12 nights and they were cared for brilliantly. I even received videos and photos of them playing while I was away and they looked so happy! I don’t think they wanted to leave as they loved the people looking after them. The facilities are excellent, with indoor/outdoor pens large enough to accommodate more than one dog. There are also large outdoor play areas and acres of grounds so the dogs are exercised and played with a number of times a day. I think they got lots of cuddles too which was lovely. It felt like a very personal service, which I hadn’t been expecting. Thanks to Sue and everyone for looking after Pom and Ted so well. We will be back!

The Grange Kennel take such good care of my dog, a male New Foundland. He looks fluffier when he comes back from the kennel than when I left him there 8 days earlier. It is my first choice of kennel on the island. My dog is calm and happy when he returns back home.

So Clean and Friendly - very well run - the Cats did not want to come home!

Absolutely the best. The owners are the nicest people I have ever had the fortune to meet in my life. I met them once let's say 30 years ago this August 1982 and the memory has stayed with me since then.

Isle of Wight

Just a great place! Especially when the sun is shining, although still loads to do on a wet day. Very family oriented

A WONDERFUL place to visit if you love the peace and quietness. There are also some brilliant places for families to go for a fabulous day out really good beaches and entertainment. Most of all tranquillity in abundance if you want it .

Vets

Mobile Vet Ltd

IOW Pet Centre, Watergate Rd, Newport PO30 1XP, UK – 01983 212999

I have been using the mobile vet for several years now and cannot complain at all. They have always been available when I need them even out of hours and were very understanding and compassionate recently, when a difficult decision had to be made. All of staff are excellent and they have a brilliant set up. I highly recommend the mobile vet, fantastic vets and so pleased they are here on the island.

Want your own private vet, then you might as well register with the Mobile Vet. They know us by name and they know our pets instantly. If you need to see them you'll get an appointment almost immediately. The care they've given to our Rough Collie has been incredible and we have two new family members and they look after them almost as if they were theirs. We were with different vets and when we needed some urgent help they couldn't see us immediately unless we paid a vast surcharge. We called the mobile vet, they came within hours and their fees were much cheaper. Loyalty can often cost money, but with Mobile Vets it comes as a matter of standard. We count ourselves lucky to have a partner like Mobile Vets, but more importantly our dogs have fantastic people to care for them. They may have been recognised for their approach and business model, but they should get one for their professional, personal and amazing service and skills.

Our experience is that Pet Doctors in Newport are an extremely efficient and caring Veterinary Practice who have made extensive efforts to help our sick Westie. A big thank you to the practice manager Kerry and the lovely staff.

Saw rebecca, the most comprehensive examination my dog has ever had. She was calm, knowledgeable and compassionate. The receptionist here are very friendly also.
